John Shrader
has been in television and radio, on-and-off the microphone, for nearly 30 years. For more than 15 years, John was a sports anchor/sports reporter/talk
show host for KNBR Radio in San Francisco, the nation's No. 1 all-sports
station. He was a television sports anchor in San Jose for ten years, first at KNTV-TV and then KICU-TV.
John's
experience isn't limited to sports anchoring/reporting; for ten years he was the radio and television voice of the 2-Time Major League Soccer Champion
San Jose Earthquakes. John has been the radio voice of San Jose State
University football and basketball, the Silicon Valley Classic College Football Bowl
Game and the annual East-West Shrine Game.
John, who teaches Journalism at San Jose City College, has a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. He worked in
radio and television for three years in the Nebraska cities of Kearney
and Hastings before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1980.
